Hi Everyone,

 I’m Evie and I am currently doing my Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship at Arundel Travel. Don’t worry, I’ll still be on the shop floor selling holidays too! I’ve been working at Arundel Travel for nearly 4 years and wow how time flies!

My favourite holiday I’ve been on was when I visited New York in October 2016. It was by far the most surreal experience ever. Seeing all the sights from famous movies and TV shows was brilliant. We stayed in the Crowne Plaza at Times Square and the views were fantastic. Being able to visit the Statue of Liberty and go into the Crown was fantastic as you could see the skyline of New York, even if it was a little bit cramped! New York lit up at night from the Empire State Building was unbelievable and we flew in at night, so the views of the bridges and the skyline as well were terrific. I would go back in a heartbeat especially if I could visit at Christmas.

One of my favourite and most memorable experiences from being on holiday was when I went to Budapest in September 2022. We did a boat trip along the Danube River at night when it was dark and the Palace and the entire city was lit up. It was absolutely breathtaking. It was such a clear night that you could see the light from the moon lighting up the water and the Fisherman’s Bastion lit up as well. There was the option to get off at Margaret Island to visit and see the Japanese Gardens etc lit up at night and the dancing water fountains as well.

My bucket list is still very big, with lots of places still to tick off! I would have to say my top two main trips would be Costa Rica and Japan. I would love to visit Costa Rica to help with Turtle Conservation. Volunteering to help with saving turtles, learning all about the history behind it and visiting the local areas of Costa Rica would be fabulous. I haven’t had the chance to do anything like this before so I would love to get out of my comfort zone and give it a go!



Japan has recently joined my list from hearing all the incredible stories from our customers that have been. I would love to see the Cherry Blossom and experience travelling on the Bullet Trains. There is so much to see and do there, it's definitely one to keep an eye out for!
